DEC funds helped our member charities reach more than 650,000 people in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam after they were hit by a series of devastating natural disasters within days in September and October 2009.
The DEC appeal raised £9.3m for our member agencies to assist the most vulnerable people after more than five million were affected.
