MYANMAR (BURMA) CYCLONE APPEAL - donate
On 2 May 2008 at 16.00 local time, Cyclone Nargis ripped across the coast of Myanmar (also known as Burma), bringing misery and devastation to tens of thousands of people. The DEC has raised £15 Million to date to help survivors but there is still more to do.

There are many other ways to give to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), including raising funds through an event, giving shares or leaving a legacy.
Why we need your help
The DEC members respond in emergency situations to save lives and improve the health and environment of survivors. The public has pledged millions of pound in the past and has helped save thousands of lives. To carry on providing this vital service it is essential that we have continued support from the public.
How your money is spent
Appeal funds raised are distributed to the DEC member agencies that are best placed to use them. We ensure that all money raised is spent in a timely, cost-effective and efficient way.
