How Your Company Can Help
As a company, there are several ways you can help the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC):
Payroll Giving/Donate at Work
Payroll giving enables employees to make valuable charitable donations straight from their salary and provides a continued and vital stream of income to the DEC. An agreed amount is deducted from an employee's gross salary and sent to an approved payroll giving agency, which pays it directly to the DEC. For more information about payroll giving, click here.
Matched Giving
Matched giving is a payment of the scheme's administration costs on the employee's behalf. A 100 per cent match would equal each employee's gift pound for pound. It can be capped by setting an annual limit for each employee. One large employer is currently operating one of the UK's most generous payroll giving schemes, paying £2 for every £1 donated by its employees.
