Asia Quake News

On 8 October 2005, an earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale devastated Kashmir, Pakistan and northern India, claiming at least 73,000 lives and leaving over three million people without homes.
The Disasters Emergency Committee launched an appeal and raised £60 million. As well as emergency aid, we worked to help people establish livelihoods again after they had been devastated by the quake.
