Could you tell me how much of my money actually goes to help the victims in the disaster?
There are no DEC Secretariat administration costs incurred for our appeals. The fundraising costs of any appeal are always kept below five per cent of the appeal total, and are normally much less. Clearly, the more we raise the less we spend on appeal costs. Where necessary, members can use up to seven per cent of this money in the management and support of their programmes.
