What sort of assurance is there that the money raised through the appeal reaches those in need and is not used to fund the government?

All 13 DEC Member Agencies are participating. At least five of these have large staff teams in the area now and are delivering aid. DEC funding will only be allocated to Members who are permitted to bring relief to those suffering from the devastation. Others are working through partner organisations in Yangon and the Irrawaddy Delta.
