Since the launch of the appeal on the 22nd of January £7.1 million have been raised, more funds are however desperately needed so that we can reach more people affected by the conflict.
“We really do appreciate the support of the British public who have shown their generosity when confronted with scenes of a dire humanitarian emergency. Their donations will help improve the lives of so many innocent civilians. But there are many more people who need our help. I urge anyone who has not yet donated to give what they can afford. Money raised will go directly to helping families in Gaza who have been left without basic everyday necessities that we take for granted such as food, shelter and healthcare,” Brendan Gormley, DEC chief executive.
