Governance
The board of trustees comprises the chief executive of each member agency plus up to four independent trustees, an hon treasurer and the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) chair.
The DEC Secretariat is funded by voluntary donations from members and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the DEC. There are nine permanent staff and a band of dedicated volunteers.
The board of trustees is responsible for overall management of the DEC.
