£30 million raised so far for people facing Covid-19 in fragile states and refugee camps as crisis worsens due to secondary effects of pandemic and onset of winter.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has joined tens of thousands of members of the public who have donated the DEC Coronavirus Appeal, which has now raised £18 million since its launch on 14 July. The Prince’s donation to help the world’s most vulnerable people as they face Covid-19 comes after he suffered from the virus himself in March this year.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) is pleased to announce that Tanya Steele will join the DEC Board of Trustees as an independent trustee. Tanya will succeed Baroness Helene Hayman when she completes her term this month.
