DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal reaches £63 million

In response to reaching £63million in donations to the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal, DEC Chief Executive Saleh Saeed said:

“Every donation is making a difference to people in desperate need enabling our member aid agencies to respond quickly and effectively in some of the worst hit areas.

“The public’s generosity is helping hundreds of thousands of people whose lives were torn apart by Typhoon Haiyan to sleep under shelter tonight, drink and wash in clean water and cook essential meals.

“Our aid agencies will also be putting in place plans for the huge long term recovery support needed over the coming months – so that we can help Filipino’s rebuild their lives and look to the future.”
