This year Giving Tuesday is being celebrated on 1 December 2020 as a day when everyone, everywhere can do something to support the causes that mean so much to them.

If you want to use this day to support the DEC, here are three simple actions you can take:

  1. Donate to our Coronavirus Appeal - Our appeal is helping people in the world’s most fragile places as they face the deadly new threat of Covid-19. The UK Government is matching donations from the public pound-for-pound up to £10 million, meaning your support will go even further. There is still £350,000 left to match – double the impact of your donation by giving today.
  2. Spread the word - Retweet our newslike us on Facebook, or visit our social media toolkit for posts you can share. There is lots you can do to let others know how they can help people in crisis.
  3. Celebrate, donate, nominate - Celebrate that special someone who has been there for you this year with a social shout-out using the #whogetsyouthrough hashtag and a donation to the DEC appeal.

If you or someone you know is a Liverpool FC fan, then there is one more action you can take…

Bid for a signed, match-worn shirt from Liverpool FC’s title-winning 2019/2020 Premier League campaign.

The Disasters Emergency Committee is thrilled to offer you the chance to win signed, match-worn shirts donated by our friends and Premier League champions – Liverpool Football Club. Each shirt featured in The Reds’ 4-0 win over Southampton at Anfield on Saturday 1st February 2020. The result saw Liverpool extend their lead at the top of the table to 22 points over rivals Manchester City, before going on to clinch their first league title in 30 years.

Bid now to not only own a true piece of LFC history but also help DEC member charities combat the spread of coronavirus in fragile states and refugee camps.

The online auction will open at 9am on Tuesday 24th November and close at 6pm on Tuesday 8th December 2020. Visit our page on Givergy to place your bids and be in with a chance to win a piece of sporting history.
