Cambridge's support for East Africa welcomed

The Disasters Emergency Committee warmly welcomes the involvement of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in raising awareness around the world of the East Africa Crisis.  Their commitment and profile should prompt the world’s media to refocus on the continuing tragedy in East Africa and galvanise the political will to find sustainable solutions

The generosity of the UK public has meant the DEC appeal has raised over £72m on behalf of the UK’s leading aid agencies but because of the scale of the crisis many of our members and their global partners still require significant further funding.

Further details of the work of our members and their partners in East Africa can be found here.
