When large-scale disasters hit countries without the capacity to respond, the DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently.

We only launch an appeal when we know we can help, and we have three criteria to help ensure that we launch the right appeals at the right time.

The DEC only funds work by our 15 member charities, which deliver aid directly or through trusted partners to those in need.
