On 15 December 2021 the DEC launched the Afghanistan Crisis Appeal to respond to extensive humanitarian needs in the country.
The report looks at the DEC response over the first 6 months of the crisis, covering:
- Key achievements from Phase 1
- Challenges faced including Covid-19, ongoing conflict, reaching remote communities and working with local authorities
- Improving humanitarian programme delivery to support the most vulnerable
- Looking on towards Phase 2 and the task ahead
