DEC secretariat

The DEC has a small team who carry out the day-to-day running of the organisation. When we launch an appeal, staff seconded from member charities, freelancers and creative agencies form a larger pop-up team.

Board of trustees

Trustees ensure that the DEC remains true to its charitable purpose and objectives and complies with charity law. They are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Report and the financial statement.

Accountability Framework

DEC members have adopted the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability as part of the DEC accountability framework.

Ebola Crisis Appeal

The DEC launched an appeal after an outbreak of Ebola spread from Guinea to Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Senegal. This appeal is now closed and all funds have been spent.
