A year ago, on 28 March 2025, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake devastated huge areas of Myanmar. One year on, DEC funds are continuing to support people impacted by the earthquake as they rebuild their lives and look towards the future.

The DEC, including its member charities, uphold the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence.

These principles govern the humanitarian response and coordination work funded by DEC appeals.
