Preparing for further climate disasters in Pakistan
Pakistan is among the top ten countries in the world most affected by climate change. In the immediate aftermath of the 2022 floods, DEC charities provided emergency relief and funds from the appeal are now helping communities to rebuild their livelihoods. This includes training rural communities in climate-smart farming techniques to help build their resilience to future disasters.

Pakistan Floods Appeal - Six month report
On 1 September 2022, the DEC launched the Pakistan Floods Appeal after heavy monsoon rains led to the worst flooding on record. The appeal raised £46.5 million in the first six months. This report looks at how DEC funds have been used to support communities affected by the disater in the immediate aftermath and the first phase of the response.
