Middle East Humanitarian Appeal
6 Month Report

This report covers the first six months of the response and explains how DEC member charities and their local partners have responded to the Middle East crisis using funds raised by the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal. The report provides an overview and giving examples of what DEC funds have achieved working across Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria

In Gaza, DEC charities provided cash assistance, clean water, food parcels and hot meals and emergency shelter items to families. Donations helped support vital healthcare services and psychosocial support.

In Lebanon, DEC charities supported families who had been displaced with cash support, winter clothing and shelter items, as well as protection and psychosocial support for women and children.

In the West Bank, DEC charities provided cash and vouchers for essentials and farming tools, winter kits and clothing for vulnerable families and children, and community disaster preparedness training.

DEC charities also supported displaced families and returnees in Syria, providing winter kits and shelter items, hygiene supplies, emergency cash assistance, and protection services.
