Since July 2020, donations to the DEC’s Coronavirus Appeal have helped protect some of Syria’s most vulnerable communities from coronavirus by providing clean water, hygiene kits and supporting healthcare but poor facilities in camps and the growing hunger crisis are still putting lives at risk as the virus continues to circulate.
On 1 September 2022, the DEC launched the Pakistan Floods Appeal after heavy monsoon rains led to the worst flooding on record. The appeal raised £46.5 million in the first six months. This report looks at how DEC funds have been used to support communities affected by the disater in the immediate aftermath and the first phase of the response.
