Mobile health clinics provide a lifeline to flood survivors
The devastating floods that hit Pakistan last summer swept away homes, destroyed livelihoods and left remote communities cut off from essential services. One of the less visible, but no less important, impacts of the floods was on people’s health and access to healthcare.
Pakistan Floods Appeal - Six month report
On 1 September 2022, the DEC launched the Pakistan Floods Appeal after heavy monsoon rains led to the worst flooding on record. The appeal raised £46.5 million in the first six months. This report looks at how DEC funds have been used to support communities affected by the disater in the immediate aftermath and the first phase of the response.
