The Middle East Humanitarian Appeal closed for donations at the end of October 2026, and DEC-funded programmes will continue until the end of January 2027.
Many DEC member charities are continuing their vital work in the region, and continue to welcome donations to their fundraising appeals.

Since its launch in October 2024, the appeal has raised more than £68 million to support families living through conflict in Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank and Syria.
DEC charities and their incredible local partners have reached hundreds of thousands of people with urgent aid, and thanks to the incredible generosity of the UK public, donations will continue to provide support until the end of January 2027.
DEC appeals are time-limited, emergency appeals, designed to boost our member charities' ability to respond to crises quickly and at scale. Our appeals are not ongoing fundraising causes, as this is the remit of our member charities and their continuing work around the world.
DEC funding remains flexible, and our member charities will be able to use the remaining money from this appeal wherever it’s needed most, until the end of January 2027.
Although donations for this DEC emergency appeal are closed, many DEC member charities and their local partners will continue this critical work long term, and warmly welcome further donations to their own appeals.
